Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix this dry blend into the wet mixture until just combined.
Baking
Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the scoops apart. Make an indent in each cookie for the caramel.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges but still soft in the middle. Cool them slightly before filling the indents with caramel sauce.
