  • 1/2 tsp almond extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract; mix well.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool completely before frosting, if desired.
  • Decorate with sprinkles if using. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

You can slice the Sugar Cookie Cake into squares and serve it at room temperature. For best presentation, cut with a warm knife if frosting is added. For storage, keep in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or refrigerate for about one week. You can freeze the cake wrapped tightly for up to three months.
