Ingredients

Base

  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers Can substitute with crushed cookies.
  • 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut Adds flavor and texture.
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness as desired.

Filling and Topping

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk Provides creaminess.
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced Use ripe and fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 cup whipped topping Can substitute with homemade whipped cream.
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam Use a high-quality jam for richer flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, shredded coconut, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then let it cool.

Layering

  • In a separate bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk with whipped topping until smooth.
  • Spread the mixture over the cooled crust. Layer the sliced strawberries on top.
  • Drizzle strawberry jam over the strawberries.

Chilling

  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

Serve chilled, enjoyed with vanilla ice cream or additional whipped topping. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
