  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until they turn brown, about 7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir these ingredients well.
  • Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  • Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30–35 minutes until the cabbage becomes tender.
  • Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm, either alone or with a light salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish reheats well.
