Preparation
Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high heat and lightly grease it if needed.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Be careful not to over mix.
Cooking
