Ingredients

Dough and Sauce

  • 1 tube 8-oz. tube crescent dough Use cold for easier handling.
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce For spreading on the dough.

Cheese and Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Freshly shredded preferred.
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Enhances flavor.
  • 4 oz. large pepperoni slices, cut in half Can substitute with veggies for a vegetarian option.
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning Adds flavor to the filling.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • On a lightly floured surface, unroll the crescent dough and separate it into four rectangles. Pinch the perforated edges to seal them.
  • Cut each rectangle into three 1-inch wide strips.
  • Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over each strip, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Layer pepperoni halves on top, covering the top half of each strip.
  • Fold the bottom of the dough up and tightly roll it into a spiral.
  • Place each rolled pizza rose into the greased muffin tin.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes to maintain crispiness.
