Peach Filling
4cupsfresh peaches, peeled and slicedUse ripe peaches for the best flavor.
1cupgranulated sugarAdjust sweetness based on preference.
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1tablespoonlemon juice
Batter
1cupall-purpose flour
1tablespoonbaking powder
1/2cupunsalted butter, melted
1cupmilk
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1pinchsalt

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, mix the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread this mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, remaining sugar, and salt. Whisk these dry ingredients together.
Pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
Pour the batter over the peach mixture in the baking dish. Do not stir.
Baking
Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Notes
Serve warm on its own or with vanilla ice cream. Can also be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat before serving for a warm treat.
