Ingredients
For the Patties

chickpeas, drained and rinsed
Make sure to drain and rinse well.

breadcrumbs
Panko breadcrumbs can be used for added crunch.
1/4

chopped fresh parsley
1/4
cup
chopped onion

cloves
garlic, minced
1
lemon, juiced and zested

cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for frying
Use as needed for frying.
For the Yogurt Sauce

Greek yogurt

cloves
garlic, minced
Add more or less garlic according to preference.
Salt to taste
Instructions
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork.
Add breadcrumbs, parsley, onion, minced garlic, lemon juice and zest, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into patties.
Cooking
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Making the Sauce
In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, minced garlic, and salt.
Serving
Serve the patties warm with a drizzle of the garlic yogurt sauce.
Notes
Store any leftover patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Freeze patties before frying for longer storage.
