  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free soy sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Essential for flavor; can substitute with olive oil.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions for garnish

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned.
  • Stir in the chopped cabbage and soy sauce. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes

For extra crunch, add bell peppers or snap peas. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish can be served with cauliflower rice or lettuce wraps.
