Servings 6 servings
Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 80 g fresh turmeric root
  • 40 g fresh ginger root
  • 1 unit lemon, peeled
  • 2 unit oranges, peeled
  • 200 mL filtered water
  • 6 pinches ground black pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse and peel the turmeric and ginger roots, then chop them roughly.
  • Slice the lemon and oranges, removing seeds and white pith.
  • Transfer everything into a blender and add the filtered water.
  • Blend briefly until you obtain a cloudy, golden mixture. Avoid over-blending to prevent heat buildup, which can degrade antioxidants.
  • Strain through a fine mesh or cheesecloth, pressing gently to extract all the juice.
  • Divide the liquid into small glass vials, add a pinch of black pepper to each, and shake before refrigerating.

Notes

The shots can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days. Drink one serving (about 60 ml) in the morning on an empty stomach or between meals. For variations, consider adding maple syrup for sweetness, warming it with cinnamon for winter, or diluting it with sparkling water for summer.
