  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 green onions sliced For garnish.
  • 1 cup cooked rice Substitute with quinoa or cauliflower rice if desired.
  • Sesame seeds For garnish.

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and ground ginger. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve beef mixture over cooked rice.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the beef mixture separately from rice.
