Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 1 lb ground beef Use high-quality ground beef for better flavor and juiciness.
  • Salt and pepper Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cheddar cheese slices Cheddar cheese slices (optional) Add cheese slices on top while cooking for extra flavor.
  • Low-carb burger buns or lettuce wraps Low-carb burger buns or lettuce wraps Use lettuce wraps for a gluten-free option.

For the Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free pickle relish

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce Add on top of the burger for crunch.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use for added richness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  • Form the ground beef into balls and season with salt and pepper, then place the balls on the skillet.

Cooking

  • Smash the balls down with a spatula to form patties and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  • Flip the patties and cook for an additional 2 minutes, adding cheese slices on top if desired.

Assembly

  • In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, mustard, and pickle relish to make the sauce.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a low-carb bun or lettuce wrap, adding shredded lettuce, and drizzling with sauce.
