  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and drained Use extra-firm tofu for better texture.
  • 1/4 cup honey Can substitute with agave or maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1/4 cup mustard Dijon or spicy brown mustard can be used.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs For gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika Smoked paprika can be used for a deeper flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the tofu into strips.
  • In a bowl, mix honey and mustard together.
  • Dip each tofu strip into the honey mustard mixture, ensuring it's well-coated, then coat it with breadcrumbs.
  • Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

Serve hot with a variety of dipping sauces, and store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
