  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional) Add more for extra spiciness.

For serving

  • Lettuce leaves (such as romaine or butter lettuce) Use for wrapping.
  • Chopped cilantro or green onions For garnish.

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
  • Add garlic, ginger, onion, bell peppers, and carrots; cook until veggies are tender.
  • Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes; cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Spoon beef mixture into lettuce leaves and top with cilantro or green onions.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftover beef mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Wrap lettuce separately in a damp paper towel to keep it fresh.
