Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
In a bowl, whisk together the French onion soup, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Spread the uncooked rice evenly in the baking dish and pour the soup mixture over it. Stir gently to combine.
Place the chicken on top of the rice and season lightly with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
Dot the chicken with butter slices for added flavor and moisture.
Baking
Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil, sprinkle French fried onions on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
Let it rest for 5 minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
For a cheesy twist, sprinkle shredded cheese before the final baking stage. Add veggies like bell peppers or peas for more nutrition. Use a good quality French onion soup for the best flavor.
