Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Gradually mix in the eggs, beating well after each addition.
  • Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk. Stir in the vanilla extract for flavor.
  • Gently fold the colorful sprinkles into the batter, ensuring even distribution.

Baking

  • Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frosting and Decoration

  • Once fully cooled, frost the top of one cake layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the entire cake.
  • Decorate with additional sprinkles and edible decorations as desired.
