Instructions
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly grease a muffin pan or use cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Take the prepared sugar cookie dough and roll it into medium-sized balls. Place one ball into each muffin cup and gently press down to fit the mold.
Baking
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
As soon as you take the pan out of the oven, use the back of a rounded measuring spoon to press down the center of each cookie dough ball, creating a cup shape.
Allow the cookie cups to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Filling
Melt the chocolate chips or candy melts in the microwave according to the package instructions.
Drizzle or spoon the melted chocolate into each cup.
Before the chocolate hardens, place assorted Easter candies into the cups.
If desired, top each cup with a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
Storing your cookie cups properly will help them stay fresh. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Use parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking.
