Cranberry Bliss Bars

Ingredients

For the Bars

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried cranberries Additional for topping.
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips Use high-quality for best results.

For the Frosting

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let it cool completely in the pan.

Frosting and Serving

  • For the frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  • Spread the frosting over the cooled bars and top with additional cranberries and white chocolate.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for about two weeks. Allow to come to room temperature before serving.
