Carefully pour over the batter.
Instructions
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
In another bowl, mix the brown sugar and hot water, then pour this mixture over the batter without stirring.
Baking
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set but the center remains gooey.
Serving
Serve warm, possibly with a scoop of ice cream on top.
