  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and diced Ensure chicken is fully cooked.
  • 4 ounces ham, diced
  • 4 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded Can substitute with mozzarella or provolone.
  • 1 piece pizza dough Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg beaten For egg wash.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Olive oil for brushing

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the cooked chicken, diced ham, and shredded Swiss cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
  • Spread Dijon mustard over the dough.
  • Add the chicken mixture on top of the mustard, then roll the dough up tightly, sealing the edges.

Baking

  • Place the stromboli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the top with the beaten egg and make a few slits for steam to escape.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftover stromboli wrapped tightly in foil or plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze slices in an airtight container for up to 2 months. Reheat thoroughly before serving. Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for a nutritious boost.
