Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs At room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder Unsweetened
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Frosting

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For frosting

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until fully combined.
  • Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let brownies cool completely.

Frosting

  • In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.

Serving

  • Slice and enjoy! Serve fresh out of the pan for a warm treat or cooled for easier slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Wrap well to prevent freezer burn.
