Instructions
Preparation
Heat the milk until warm (about 110°F).
In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let this sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
Whisk in the eggs, melted butter, and salt until fully combined.
Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough begins to form. You may not need all the flour.
Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes by hand or for 5 minutes using a mixer until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for 1–1 1/2 hours until doubled in size.
Once risen, punch down the dough and divide into 20–24 equal portions, rolling each into a ball.
Arrange dough balls in a greased pan, cover, and allow to rise for another 30–45 minutes.
Baking
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the rolls for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and brush the tops with melted butter.
Notes
Best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 1–2 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months.
