Best Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature

  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Frosting Ingredients

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine warm milk with melted butter and eggs, whisking until well blended.
  • Slowly mix the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until a dough forms.
  • Knead for 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Rising

  • Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Rolling and Filling

  • Once risen, gently punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

  • Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Cut the log into 12 equal-sized rolls.

Second Rising

  • Cover with a towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes until puffy.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
