Instructions
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the vanilla extract, then add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and dark chocolate chunks until evenly distributed.
Use a large cookie scoop to portion out dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each scoop.
Baking
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown, while the centers remain slightly soft.
Cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overmixing the dough. Consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
